The accounting field is one of the fastest growing in education and business. Our accounting program will give you the background and knowledge for career advancement as well as success in the CPA exam. You’ll assess ethical situations in a team environment while developing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and statements of changes in owners’ equity.

You’ll learn how to make decisions about:

  • The presentation of financial data

  • The analysis of managerial and cost data

  • The preparation of personal and simple business tax returns

McKendree’s bachelor’s degree in accounting will prepare you for a career in corporate, public, or non-profit accounting and give you the knowledge you’ll need to succeed on the CPA exam.

Housed within the School of Business, the B.B.A. in Accounting allows students to assess ethical situations in a team environment while developing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of changes in owners’ equity. You’ll learn how to make decisions about the presentation of financial data, the analysis of managerial and cost data, and the preparation of personal and simple business tax returns.

If you plan to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination after graduation, additional hours beyond McKendree University’s graduation requirements may be earned by taking additional courses as specified by each state to reach the 150 hour requirement to sit for the exam.
