Data Analytics Degree

Students who major in Data Analytics will utilize skills from the areas of mathematics, statistics, and computer science to analyze large data sets. They will use specific subject domain knowledge and professional writing skills to present their analysis to a broad audience.

 

 

 

Why a B.A. or B.S. Degree in Data Analytics?


The Data Analytics degree builds a broad base in the areas of mathematics and data management and allows students to develop their communication skills and subject knowledge in a selected area. Students will also be prepared for a position in industry.

Housed under the Division of Science and Mathematics, the Data Analytics degree program offers two different tracks:

Bachelor of Arts: Social Science Track

Bachelor of Science: Business Track

Both tracks teach students to effectively manage and organize data sets, create solutions to analytical problems and communicate analytics problems, methods, and findings orally, visually, and in writing. Graduates of the program will also be skilled in critically evaluating solutions to analytical problems, as well as developing subject area knowledge in a selected area
