Homecoming Parade Will Be ‘A Celebration of Heroes’ on Oct. 5

Lebanon, Ill. — Join the crowd of McKendree University students, parents, alumni and Lebanon residents lining the streets near campus to watch the homecoming parade, “A Celebration of Heroes,” on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. Support the student and local organizations, alumni awardees, marching bands and homecoming royalty before the Bearcat football team kicks off against the University of Findlay at 1:30 p.m. at Leemon Field.

The parade route starts on Alton Street and proceeds to Center Street, continues to Monroe Street and turns onto Summerfield Street. It then returns from Summerfield Street back onto Alton and concludes on campus. The homecoming parade is becoming one of McKendree’s biggest traditions. More than 40 student, department and local entries participated last fall and more are expected this year.
