Fall Family Weekend, Sept. 26-28; Bearcat Statue Dedication

Quad Festival, Pre-Game Tailgating Before Football Game Kickoff

(LEBANON, Ill., September 19, 2014) — Families and friends of McKendree University students are invited to campus for Fall Family Weekend, Sept. 26-28. This year’s highlight will be the dedication of the new bronze Bearcat Statue at 3 p.m. in front of Holman Library.

It follows the Campus Activities Board’s festival on the quad on Saturday. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., local vendors will offer a variety of food for purchase and the family fun will include inflatables, games, a photo booth and live music. Immediately following the dedication, the party moves to two parking lots on Alton Street for pre-game tailgating until 6 p.m. Tailgating spots must be reserved; contact the Athletics office at (618) 537-6873 or visit mckbearcats.com. Cheer the Bearcats on to victory as they take on Saint Joseph College at 6 p.m. Game admission is $7. Additional night events will be available following the football game.
