McKendree is Among Top 30 Most Tech Savvy Online Schools

Lebanon, Ill. — McKendree University is one of “30 Most Technologically Savvy Online Schools” in the U.S., according to OnlineSchoolsCenter.com, independent online web publication. Editors of the Nashville-based website complied the list as a guide for future distance learners hoping to use the latest online educational technology. According to its news release, schools listed are “among the best of the best when it comes to providing a technologically enhanced online experience.” 

Researchers collected important and relevant data about online schools and degrees available, using publicly available technology-related variables such as “Student Services and Technology” scores. They also considered each institution’s methods of delivery, software and technology investments to select those that offer the best technological resources to prospective online students.

McKendree’s online program offers undergraduate and graduate students substantial information technology support, access to Holman Library and the benefits of an Academic Support Center. The university also provides assistance with writing, both online and in person. The Writing Center offers interactive online sessions with writing consultants, who work collaboratively with students to improve their writing skills. In terms of student support, education and technology, McKendree was ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs and Best Online Graduate Business Programs.
