McKendree Ranks Ninth of 30 Best Online MACJ Degrees

(LEBANON, Ill., November 27, 2017) — McKendree University has been ranked ninth of the 30 best master’s in criminal justice online from private non-profit colleges by Best Master's Degrees. This ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) College Navigator database. From a list of approximately 65 private colleges and universities offering an online master’s in criminal justice, the top 30 schools were selected and ranked in order of affordability.

McKendree University is a private liberal arts institution located in Lebanon, Ill., with additional campuses in Radcliff and Shepherdsville, Ky. Established in 1828 by pioneer Methodists, it is the oldest college in Illinois, and the oldest in the nation with continuous ties to the United Methodist Church. McKendree enrolls approximately 2,500 undergraduates and nearly 700 graduate students.

McKendree’s online master’s in criminal justice program is designed to provide students with the knowledge needed to successfully advance their careers. The 36-credit hour program requires four core classes and eight electives. Courses are available entirely online and include Advanced Studies in Criminal Justice, Criminological Theory, Research in Criminal Justice I: Methods and Concepts, and Research in Criminal Justice II: Data Analysis. Admission to the program requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, official transcripts showing a 3.0 GPA, and three letters of recommendation.
