McKendree University's Hettenhausen Center Will Be a Polling Place

Change Affects Voters in Three Lebanon and O’Fallon Townships

(LEBANON, Ill., August 31, 2018) — Voters who reside in three local precincts will have a new polling place for the Nov. 6 general election: the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts at McKendree University in Lebanon.

The change affects voters in Lebanon Township Precincts 1 and 2, and O’Fallon Township Precinct 4. Previous polling places for these precincts were the First United Methodist Church, St. Paul United Church of Christ and St. Joseph Catholic Church, respectively. All have been combined into one polling place at the Hettenhausen Center at 400 North Alton St., on the McKendree University campus.

The St. Clair County Board unanimously approved the polling place change at its Aug. 27 monthly meeting. The University has committed to offering parking and space for voters, which enables the county to consolidate its resources.

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the general election on Nov. 6. All registered voters in the three precincts will receive new voter identification cards, according to an Aug. 30 press release from St. Clair County Clerk Thomas Holbrook.

Residents who have questions should contact the County Clerk’s office at 618-825-2366.
