McKendree Welcomes Transfer Students with Special Orientation Jan. 15

(LEBANON, Ill.) - Dozens of transfer students braved the cold to attend the Transfer Student Orientation held on the second floor of Holman Library on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024.

The students were warmly welcomed by several members of the campus community as they received packets and signed the matricula to officially become the university’s newest Bearcats.

“Today you officially become a part of our history,” said President Daniel C. Dobbins. “This is the place you come to do and to experience, not a place to hide.”

Other members of the campus community discussed various topics throughout the day, including academic excellence, financial services, the many ways McKendree’s students are supported and poised for success, how to become more involved and more.

“Don’t miss out on the opportunities you’ll have here. Our faculty and staff are here to help you through your journey,” said Chris Hall, vice president for admission and financial aid. “Get involved, find things you enjoy doing, and do things you’ve never done. It’s the fastest way to get connected on campus.”
