McKendree to Offer Credit for NDTA’s Transportation Academy this Fall
(LEBANON, Ill., March 6, 2019) — As part of a new educational partnership with the
National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), McKendree University will provide college credit through Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for courses
offered at the NDTA-USTRANSCOM Transportation Academy this fall. Attendees will earn
up to 2.1 CEUs for 21 hours of participation at the conference, to be held Oct. 7-10
at St. Louis Union Station Hotel.
NDTA is a non-profit, non-political educational association of transportation, logistics
and passenger travel professionals. Its seventh annual Fall Meeting will provide a
forum for critical public and private partnership in defense transportation through
discussion about new policies, technologies and best practices.
“Educating on the important issues impacting global logistics and transportation is
a key aspect of NDTA’s mission, and McKendree University is the ideal educational
partner to enable success in this area,” said Daryl Hancock, chief of staff at McKendree
University. Hancock, a retired Navy captain and senior intelligence officer, taught
a class at the 2018 NDTA Transportation Academy on cybersecurity.
Founded in 1828, McKendree University’s historic Lebanon, Ill., campus is eight miles
from Scott Air Force Base and 25 miles from St. Louis, with programs online and at
