Below you will find links for the Academic Planning Sheets as well as the 4-year planning sheets. Below the link is a short description of what each of the sheets are and how they will help you in your academic journey at McKendree.
Academic Planning Sheets
With the creation of the program evaluation, the Office of Academic Records will no
longer produce Check Sheets for the majors or minors. Please utilize the program evaluation,
4-year planning sheets and your catalog to guide you in determining what courses are
required for your program.
Every student must complete the core curriculum, in addition to a major. If you transferred
work from another institution, please refer to the transfer credit evaluation materials
that were sent to you when the courses were transferred to determine which courses
meet McKendree core (and major) requirements. If you are an Education student, please
use the Elementary Education or the Secondary Education planning sheets.
4-Year Planning Sheets
The 4-year planning sheet is a suggested plan for completing your designated program
in 4 years. The plan should include all 120 hours as well as all 40 upper level hours.
The plan is based on current availability of course offerings and is not guaranteed
for any student. Please remember that ultimately it is the student’s responsibility
to make sure that all requirements are fulfilled. Students should use the 4-year planning
sheet in consultation with their advisor. Please note that these planning sheets are
designated specifically for those students who begin their studies in the Fall of
2006 or later.
3-Year Planning Sheets
Some majors at McKendree University may be completed in three (3) years; those planning
sheets are available here. Please note students completing in three years are required
to complete the same number of hours and the same courses as those completing in the
normal four year sequence. The three-year plan requires summer study and more hours
during the fall and spring terms. Students considering a three-year plan should talk
to their advisor or Admission counselor.
