Application to the Teacher Education Program

To be admitted to the Teacher Education Program at McKendree University you must:

 

 

  • Have a minimum cumulative 2.75 G.P.A. for all coursework accepted in transfer and all coursework completed at McKendree University.

     

  • Complete English 111 and English 112 with a grade of C- or better.

     

  • Complete two Mathematics courses (based on program requirements) with a grade of C- or higher.

     

  • Complete EDU 210 (Introduction to Teaching) and EDU 115 (Technology in the Classroom) or MUED 200 (Music Classroom Technology) with a grade of C- or higher.

     

  •  Pass a criminal background check in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education requirements.

     

     

  • Complete the eform Application to the Teacher Education Program (this form can also be found on the "Forms" webpage at https://www.mckendree.edu/academics/info/education/handbooks-forms.php under "Forms."
