McKendree Magazine - Summer 2018

Letter from the Alumni Director, PJ Thompson, M.A.E.D. '17

Hello Alumni and Friends,

Thank you all so much for the love and support you give to McKendree University. School is back in session. During the summer months, camps were hosted for high school and middle-school students all over campus. It was a joy to experience the young campers exploring our campus as they considered their options for college.

The Alumni Association continues to host more events and activities every year as a way of reaching out to our alumni in their communities. The Professional and Personal Development Committee organized several networking opportunities to train students and remind alumni about the importance of networking. The Alumni Engagement Committee planned a very successful homecoming and various other projects whenever needed. The Student Engagement Committee works with current students to help enhance their experiences. The committees continue to do great work and are always looking for volunteers. Thank you to all of those that have supported the McKendree University Alumni Association. It’s never too late to get involved and stay connected.

Do you have ideas for future alumni events that you would like to see happen?

Don’t forget to save the date for Homecoming, Oct. 26-28, 2018!

Go Bearcats!

PJ

Time, Talent, and Treasure

Nothing speaks more highly of a university than alumni who enthusiastically serve and support it. Featured within Alumni Notes are a few of our McKendree alumni and friends who give back to their alma mater in a variety of ways. With their Time, Talent and Treasure, these individuals truly make a difference in the lives of McKendree University students and alumni.

Are you curious about how to get involved? The McKendree University Alumni Association organizes multiple programs and commitment levels for all alumni interested in reconnecting with and giving back to their alma mater. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer or getting involved with the McKendree University Alumni Association Board of Directors, please contact PJ Thompson, director of alumni relations, at (618) 537-6813 or alumni@mckendree.edu.

You can show your Bearcat pride, too!
