We're excited that you’ve been admitted to McKendree University and we’re ready for
you to join the Bearcat family. A McKendree education provides you with so much more
than just a degree. McKendree offers you a high quality educational experience designed to encourage the critical thinking, leadership, problem-solving, and communication
skills necessary to succeed in today's world. Our co-curricular program gives you
the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and organizations, enjoy new
experiences, and form lifelong friendships.
As a McKendree student, you will take an active role in your education - participating

Activate Your McKendree Account
Activate your official McKendree University account by clicking on MyMcK and then
first time user from the McKendree homepage. You will need your Student ID to complete
the activation process. You can find this on the Enrollment Confirmation Form sent
with your admission packet.
Academic Scholarship Eligibility
Academic scholarships are awarded upon admission. Your Admission Decision Letter will include information
about the academic scholarship for which you were eligible.
Deposit
Ready to officially reserve your spot in the Bearcat family?
Sign and return your enrollment confirmation form along with your deposit:

$200 deposit for all commuters

$400 tuition and housing deposit for all residents
Deposits are non-refundable.
Pay your deposit securely online with a credit/debit card.
(Refer to acceptance packet for your student ID number.)
Your enrollment confirmation form is included in your Admission Decision Letter and can be downloaded from your application portal.
Deadline: May 1, 2025
Campus Housing
The housing application will be available in the student portal to students that have
submitted an enrollment deposit beginning February 1, 2025.
Housing assignments are typically made in date received order so be sure and get your
application in early.
Notification of assignments will be e-mailed to a student's McKendree email.
Check out Residence Life for information about updating or changing your submitted housing application, helpful
tips on what to bring or contact them with your questions.

Applying for Aid
McKendree's Net Price Calculator can provide you with an estimate of how affordable your McKendree education will
be.
Submit the FAFSA as it is available, making sure to list McKendree as a recipient school using our
code: 001722.

Priority deadline to file FAFSA: March 1
The Office of Financial Aid hopes to begin notifying students of final aid awards in mid-January.
Once you receive your package, read it carefully and follow any instructions outlined
in it. Contact the financial aid counselor listed on the aid letter or your admission counselor for help understanding your offer.
You'll need to return all necessary documents (e.g. verification forms, IRS tax transcript,
etc.) along with appropriate loan acceptance forms to ensure that your registration
statement (aka bill) is accurate in July.

First-Year Introduction (FYI)
McKendree’s First Year Introduction program is your first step in becoming a successful college student. This
program is designed to help you transition to life at McKendree.
Specific dates and details regarding course registration for Fall 2025 will be available
February 1.
Medical Forms
Complete and return your Confidential Medical History Form and immunization record.
Health Services can provide you will additional details on immunization requirements and a link to
the Confidential Medical History Form.
Deadline: August 1 - You will not be able to move into your residence hall until these
forms are received.
Transcripts
Make arrangements to have your final high school transcript mailed to:

If you have dual-credit courses, other college credit, or AP exam credit you will also need to send those transcripts.
Deadline: August 15
New Student Orientation (NSO)
After you attend FYI and/or complete course registration, you must register for and attend New Student Orientation (NSO) in August.
This event is essential to your college transition and participation is required.
Registration for NSO will be available in Summer 2025.
